Types of wood we use

Coniferous wood of European origin

We currently have fir in our range. It is a soft wood with a light structure and a light shade, often chosen by our customers. With the following lacquer colours we are able to give the wood the right character to meet our customers' expectations. Our basic range includes the following colours:

Oak ● Mahogany ● Teak ● Cypress ● Walnut

Any colour specified by the customer is available on request.

  • The manufacturer does not guarantee that all supplied wooden elements will have the same colour scheme (this is impossible due to the nature of the material which is wood).
  • the colouring of the wooden elements will be similar to the proposed, but not identical to the sent sample

Hardwood of exotic origin

A hardwood of African, South American and Asian origin. It is characterised by very high strength and a distinctive and noble structure and is protected by double oiling. The available species are as follows:

Iroko ● Sapeli ● Meranti ● Tauari ● Jatoba.

Iroko

Iroko wood, also known as African oak, is valued for its unique properties, especially for outdoor applications. Firstly, it is extremely durable and resistant to rot, making it ideal for garden furniture and other outdoor structures. Thirdly, iroko wood has a beautiful golden brown colour, which can develop into an attractive silvery-grey patina over time.

Below you can see pictures using Iroko wood. As the realisations show, the colour tones are wide and wood from the same batch is not uniform in colour.

NOTES:

  • A unique feature of exotic wood is its strength and the wide colour tones within a single species of wood. When ordering exotic wood you should expect rich colouring of the wooden elements.
  • the colouring of the wooden elements will be similar to the proposed, but not identical to the sample sent.
  • the colouring of the furniture may differ on the picture on the monitor from the actual colouring of the furniture
  • Please note that wood undergoes a natural ageing process. Over time, the colour loses its original saturation.

High pressure laminate

The plastic laminates in our range are used as a substitute for wooden elements. The use of HPL requires structural changes to the furniture. Their advantage is extreme resistance to weathering. They are less susceptible to sunlight, wind and moisture than wood.HPL is a flame-retardant material. With the right technology, laminates retain their original appearance for longer.

Woodgrain HPL

Duroplastic pressure laminate (HPL) compliant with EN 438-6 type EDF. The laminate is highly resistant to ageing, thanks to a layer of double-cured acrylic-polyurethane resins. It is a flame-retardant material.
